8/5/12 LEARN WE NOT.....tiada terkesan?

8/5/12 LEARN WE NOT.....tiada terkesan?

Year in year out, thousands if not hundred of thousands Muslim Malays went to Mecca. My observation, quiet a number, be they young, adult, or elders from Kuching Sarawak did joined the ibadah. Among them are our local leaders, especially those tasked to care for the Islamic welfare. Great. Alhamdullilah. But my wondering: Did they went there a mere personal purpose and or seeking holy aspiration and later when they are back they really work hard for the great benefit of the general Ummah?

(2b) If one cares to read and study the verses in the Al Quran carefully, definitely the most frequent reminder by Allah is: Observe your shollah, pay zakat and do good deeds. But a pity, among the Malays, when the topic on Islam is being discussed we then too focus on one and forget the others. As an example, when Allah command us to pay zakat we seem to think that such a command is only for those who are rich, but we never want to take such command as an instruction for us to work hard so that we also could contribute to pay zakat. Didn't Muhammad SAW said, 90% of the wealth come from doing business? Doesn't his notion meant that we must work hard so that we can also pay zakat? As I have many times said, Islam is not merely about spiritual matters, Islam is about the Best Way of Life. Thus for instance, when the Malays went to Mecca, what would be their main intention? Most I would believe are personal, and not much would try to learn and later when they are back to do the best for the Ummah.

Lenggang. Apa lagi di waktu Subuh dan Isya. Mungkin Imam terkebil-kebil menanti makmum. Kenapa jadi begini? Rumah Allah tidak semarak seharusnya?

(3b) Nowaday, I have most of the time that would enable me to wander and thinking a lot. Since couple of weeks back, I have been wandering at both the Old State Mosque and Masjid India at India Street in Kuching. A really very different experience to what I have been seeing as compared to Masjid Muhammadiah Kota Bharu, lots of Masjid in Indonesia, or even Mecca and Madinah. The Dzohor, Assar, and Maghrib sholah barely a saf being filled up. Really quiet and empty. Worst I believe at Isya and Subuh. Why? Why is Allah's Home being kept empty?

(4b) The Mosque is a serene place to the Malays. Due to such consideration, in most cases when the Mosque were developed, they seem to be quite isolated from the reach of the community in such, made the Mosque an alien to their whole lives system. This is very different from the early and current development of MasjidilHaram and Nabawi. That's the very reason I always question the purpose of the Malays paying a visit to MasjidilHaram and Nabawi. Most I would say for personal ibadat rather learning for the greater ummah needs and deeds.

(5b) The development of MasjidlHaram and Nabawi could be adopted and modified to suit the in-situ Muslim communities needs and situation in developing their Mosques. Despite the need to preserve the serenity of the old Kaabah and Muhammad SAW Mosque, both MasjidilHaram and Nabawi have to be extended either upward or downward. That's the very reason, I believe why Allah command the construction of the Kaabah in the dry desert so that, there is no contraint to the MasjidilHaram (and Nabawi) expansion. Accordingly, the space span of MajdilHaram is 20Km in radius of the Kaabah.

Roh Melayu kian terhakis hebat.

(6b) I could sense, the general Malays as a whole is grasping for something to hold. What is there within their surrounding that that they can acclaim: Yes, we are proud of this, and we are part and partial of this! What is there that the Malays could own as the virtue of their civilization pride? Hang Tuah, the Malays legendary hero was ever willing to die for his course with the Taming Sari in his hands. Accordingly, in the past, paddy field is the Malays' traditional pride, yet now is a symbol of poverty and misery. Dewan Bahasa and Psutaka (DBP) was the Centre for the Malays' Literature and Culture development, yet today is a mere printing store. Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) was established through the sweat and tears of the Malays to have an institution that would produce young intellectual Malays that would take the Malays to a better stage, yet now, it is a kindergarten for the adult kids. The Malays is greatly loosing their soul.

Tahniah. Alhamdullilah.

(7b)Especially in Kuching and Sarawak in general, what is there that the local Malays could claim as their soul? I can't see. May be some will say, the current development of the Islamic Complex would the Kuching Malays soul. Definitely Taib Mahmud (YAB Pehin Sri) has such an intent. Congratulation. Alhamdullilah. But, I doubt the Kuching or Sarawak Malays will have such a feel. The fundamental reason, I would say, their active participation will not be there. The Complex will be just a beauty at a distance to the general Kuching and Sarawak Malays.

(7b)Whether we like it or not, historiaclly, the Malays from Sambas, Java, Sumatera, Celebes and or Brunei were the one whom had opened up Sarawak which now named as Kuching. The previous generation (Merpati Jepang) left Sarawak (Kuching) for us, yet what would be our trail that the next generation could walk pass to be great? The present Malays must think and act firm and fast now. Nothing much left, and even the Baju Melayu are no more the Malays trading items. A pity.

(8b) I would say and suggest that Daud Abdul Rahman (YB Datuk) must take a firm stand and effort to change the mentality of the Kuching Indian Muslim and those related to the administration of the Mosque. These community must realise, it was the mercy of the Kuching Malays that had enable them to build the Mosque at where it is to this day. Time has come for such a mercy be rewarded by working together to make Islam a great Way of Life. The present Indian Muslim community should not be just satisfied with their inherited traditional way of life and trading (textile, spices and gold). The Indian Muslim and the Malays must now come together as a combine force for greater success, failing which, both communities will loose.

(9b) The location of Masjid India Kuching is very strategic and perfect tool to build the morale of the Malays and Muslim of Sarawak to move to a greater height. We must realise, to move the Malays (and Muslim as a whole), they need morale booster. They can be real dedicated if such morale is being made crystal clear. We need to build the confident of the Malays to make them run and steadfast. Both the Malays and Indian Muslim of Kuching should see themselves as true brotherhood, and discard fast those Hinduism and Buddhism culture and tradition that had imprisoned us for too long

(10b)I believe the Indian Mosque could be developed into the Kuching City Mosque. To realise such an idea, better for Daud and the Malays (Muslim) intellect to think and consider the following strategies: First, to form an Urban Development Corporation that would make all town in Sarawak as a Place of Every Local Cultural Spring to really nurture and sustain our unity in diversity way of lives. Secondly, Baitul Mal, Lembaga Masjid, Tabung Haji and Mulsim interest parties should acquire the four shops to the left of the Mosque. A special Trust Fund where Muslim can invest in the redevelopment of the Mosque could also be considered. Third, the State Government should acquire and turn those two burnt down shop and turn those into Public Green and Open Space especially a Playground dedicated for the kids. Last but not least, we should organize the architects, business personality, cultural representative, and surely the Islamic religious group to conceptualise and detail the functions, components and thus the architecture of the Mosque.

(11b)In Islam, there are certain figures that are of very significant. First, the number five (5 or V). There are five Islamic pillars. The Muslim must pray five times in a day. The fifth day, ie Friday is the most significant day in Islam. There are five oceans created for us to sail and explore. Secondly, the number six (6 or VI). Allah created heaven and earth within six days. There are six pillars of the Islamic belief. Thirdly, the number seven (7 or VII). The earth is made of seven strata. The sky is made of seven layers. The heaven is divided into seven hierarchies. There is seven continent that we can wander. There is seven day in a week that we can spend.

InsyaAllah.

(12b) I would like to take the spirit of those figures as the principle of the development of the propose City Mosque. My observation of the Tanah Abang in Jakarta, the Old Bandung Plaza, Bandung, Wakaf Che Yeh of Kota Bharu, and surely the MasjidilHaram and Nabawi could be a good guiding principle. Sure, Allah and Muhammad SAW saying, which means: ...Observe your pray, then disperse to earn...and 90% of the wealth comes from commerce..., thus the Mosque should be built in seven storey. The ground floor, should be of high column. The model of the Old Kuching Post Office should be of great example. This Floor could serve as the Parking Area, Exhibition, Seasonal Sales and Crafts Center. The second floor, make this as heaven for the women: textile, accessories, spice center, and utensils center. The olden day bustling Gambier Street could be revived. The third floor become the food mart, hyperbook store especially in dealing with the Islamic books, and entertainment. The fourth to six floor as hotel, appartment, and even boutique office. The seventh floor, the pinnacle, is the Mosque with the Hanging Tropical Garden. The overal architecture of the building should brought back the nostalgic Malays' and South Indian taste.

(13b)I strongly believe, Taib Mahmud had that in the back of his mind when he was so stubborn to head on to revamp those old structures along the Gambier Street. Daud should be able to read those in between the line. He can, with Abang Zohari (YB Datuk Sri) as his close buddy.

9/11/11 THE CURLING MEOW....

9/11/11 THE CURLING MEOW....

Kuching, originally was called Sarawak. That why the river dividing Kuching into the south and north parts, is called Sungai Sarawak, not Sungai or Batang Kuching. Why than, Kuching is named Kuching not sustained as Sarawak? Well, Brooke, the Angmo, that how they signified growth. Sarawak was the original small place, to signify the growth of their power, thus Sarawak enlarge with the extent of space they colonized.

(2) Kucing is a nice pet animal. Tame. Passionating. Entertaining. Loyal. A real friend. So much great quality of the most loveable pet. But Kuching doesn't get it name from kucing, a cat, in Malay. The closest speculation is that it was named after a small stream, Sg. Kuching, running accros the St Mary Primary School down the Medan PELITA to Lebuh Wayang and met the Sg Sarawak at the River Bank Suit. The river then was named after the Bukit Mata Kuching, the home of Hilton Hotel, which again was named after a local fruit tree called Mata Kuching.

(3) Nonetheless, those cats statue at the McDonald Roundabout, Padungan Junction and Roundabout are all just a gimmick for the easy remembrance of the foreign visitors. Kucing is basically just a logo, but not the true origin of Kuching. Taking such a statue as the logo has it own merit. As I have described above, the characters of kucing and Kuching is just almost similar. As a pet, kucing is the most loveable human friend across religions, ethnics and cultures. Kuching, on the other hand, a socio-geographical subject is cool, splendid, inviting, tranquil, serene, etc place. A real friend of green and nature lover.

(4) But unfortunately, kucing and Kuching is just a curling meow, as it turns hungry, or need attention. A cat just keep meowing, curling around our legs doesn't matter if we have to step or stumble on them. I have such notion, when now I felt the service sector in Kuching is not sparking enough. Kuching need serious attention. We need to work hard to bring a much needed lives to Kuching. As I see it, all the major activities organized in Kuching are all public driven. All those regattas, exhibitions, fiesta, etc, all are public initiated. The true economic significant of all those events are yet to be seen. Worst if the true commercial Balance Sheet be examined.

(5) By nature, Kuching is lovely. But those beauties are distance, can't be easily touch or memorably celebrated. Kuching is a mountain at the distance. Beautiful at far. Though to touch. Why?

(6) It is very basic. Firstly, they must be a magnet to pull people over to Kuching. Secondly, there must be an efficient mean to reach Kuching. Both are not in priority order, but there must come together. In singapore, they have the casinos as the magnet, yet they organized an efficient transportation to reach to the Casino to the extend, they even provide shuttle not from Changi but from Johore Baharu. Subject and mean must come hand in hand.

(7) With the merger of AirAsia and MAS, I guess is a strategy to kill FireFly. Soon that will happen. Yet we longing to see or hear a voice what would be the next strategy so as not to be trapped in this Zero Sum Game. Would Sarawak be served well without the FireFly? Probably it is better for Sarawak, Sabah, Brunei, and Kalimantan to form a consortium to buy over FireFly, and turn into AirBorneo that would serve East of SEA as well as to serve our domestic needs. Let us foster a much efficient TransBorneo Mobility. Hopefully with such arrangement we could form USB after USA. If there is an A, then there should be a B.

(8) On the other hand, just a mere natural tropical beauties, that won't give Kuching the magnetic force to attract visitors. We still lacking in substances for celebration. Kek Lapis, Terubok Masin UiTM, Pasu Sarawak, Tikar Sarawak, Laksa Sarawak, Mee Kolok and Gambir Sarawak are not sufficient. These are mere, take home ole-ole. We need more of a place to celebrate. The visit here must be a memorable one.

(9) My visit to Luang Prabang in Laos and Siem Rep in Cambodia made me realized how, especially the foreigners love to celebrate local arts and cultures. People search for the Pyramids, Great Wall, Taj Mahal, Borobodur, Angkor Wat, etc is the greater manifestation of such interest. We must be able to think, conceptualize, detailing and thus building upon our rich arts and cultures as the magnet that could pull people to Kuching and any other cities. It must be seriously noted that individual nation has their unique arts and cultures. Thus, making our arts and cultures available and accessible are paramount to bring people to Kuching.

(10) Frequent visitor can't just keep visiting the same Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV). Can't we not build a real living traditional modern neighborhoods and celebrating places just by the footstep of Hilton or Magharetta? Mingling among the local real lives would give greater experience to visitors. Memorable indeed. Welcoming back in fact. Let not merely building a modern Kuching (I laugh to this), but let have a Culturally Celebrated Kuching. How? Knock-knock, put our heads together!

8/11/11 LOVE BITE FOR NAJIB....

8/11/11 LOVE BITE FOR NAJIB....

(Was this not a Malay Fishing Village in the past? The Portuguese, drove the Malays to the rural, and now, did they not missed their Opportunity Cost? Did all these now not creating a bipolar societies among the Malaysian? Najib, my Love Though for you to ponder!).

Many times I stood by the windows at the dinning place on the 23th floor of Wisma Selborn, Tabung Haji, Kampung Baru when I have the meeting there. I glazed to the east. At a distance, stands the gigantic Petronas Tower. A cluster of towering metallic urban trees, separated by a natural milky as well as all those Mahathir-Samy's metallic stream from the old bushy ecology sprawling, really a touchy panorama. Between me and the Twin Tower, that is the glossy lives of Kampung Baru. It sparked the memory of my late grandfather, Kecut Othman, whom probably used to roam in the bushes of the then Kg. Baru of the 1920s after his tiring work as the Surveyor to the British master. My mind wander and wonder, keeping them as they are, at their fight for not wanting to be developed as long as the deal not to their interest as they thought. What actually are in their mind?

(2) My mind wander and wonder. My Mathematic bubbling, 1 acre = 43,995 sq ft = 4,040 sq meters, and it goes wild as this:

My Speculation:

Each landowner has 15 points land on average ie about 6,600 sq ft.
Land price, probably RM1,000/sq ft, that make them millionaire of RM6.60 million a lot. Not bad. Every household in Kampung Baru is a millionaire. A multimillionaire.

Average home in KL size 1,500 sq ft. For an apartment (average) probably the price range RM150,000-300,000 each. Thus, on a lot of 6,600 sq ft, about 4-5 units apartment could be built. At a profit of RM30,000-50,000/unit, thus a floor of 4-5 units cluster would give a total profit of RM 120,000-250,000/floor. If the building height is about 30 storey, then the conceptual profit would be at a range of RM3.60-7.50 million for every 15 points lot. But of course for a location such Kg. Baru, other higher prices could be achieved, even ranging from RM500,000 to RM2.00 million for each unit.

Sound fair. Buy at RM6.60 million, then built and sale to make RM2.00-7.50 million profit. Free market. Win-win.

My Conception:

Doesn't matter what is the figure, the true figure, but surely everybody knows Kg. Baru is a prime land, now and later. Loosing Kg. Baru, meaning loosing the Malays Prime Urban Presence. If we remember the history, when the British colonized our Country, by leaving the Malays to their subsistence livelihood, in fact they are pushing us out of the urban sphere, which once we occupied. They did compensated us. Fair compensation. At market price. But then what happen to us? Did we not lost our urban ground? Did we not being displaced? Do we learned? Or we simply submitted to the World Order, let the market decides all.

(ii) Let us be fashionable to the Global dance, thus we left to the Market Economy to determine our fate, without realizing, would those give us the advantageous or not, or are we not interested to revisit those, based on time and circumstances.

(iii) It is not about a Malay chauvinistic. It is about racial balance. The balancing act. Is Malaysia, Malaysia is the Malay is not there? Just like, is woman a woman without man, try, take away man from woman, what left would be a wo, a cattle cries. Doesn't is not the same, takeout Malay from Malaysia, what left is sia in Malay mean useless, or ia, a singular. Why? The root of Malaysia are the Malays. Thus the Malays strength and presence is important for the harmonious lives sustenance of this country.

(iv) I believe, the Malays in Kg. Baru must be compensated in accordance to the present market value. With such compensation, they are free to set their direction, including a priority to buy any properties that being constructed. A proper profiling of their interests, needs, and current advantageous must be well taken care. We must always remember, at current location, firstly they enjoyed all the economic advantageous eg business, working, leisure opportunities, and etc and all these must be properly profile and valued.

(v)We must not approach the redevelopment of Kg. Baru purely from the pure Free market or Capitalist style. Under such circumstances, a one off market Price compensation will be the ideal and fair practice. Worldwide hold to such idealism. But is that ideal?

(vi) My notion, pay them the prevailing Market Price, but they must also not loosing their future Opportunity Cost. Say being uprooted from Kg. Baru, would they have the privilege to continue to enjoy all those that they are enjoying now? In fact now, I would say, those advantageous are their rights. These rights then I would say are their Future Opportunity Cost, and it is a moving value. Thus, the real value is very tangible. So how then to determine all these.

(vii) Let take our approach now from a Welfare Economic stand. No hard to modified or even blend all the prevailing systems. Dr. Mahathir may realize this. In organ transplant, we normally take other organ to blend with all the exiting body. We don't change all. Thus, in this case, Free Market is the main body. But leaving Free Market to operate on it own, without intervention is just like leaving a damaging organ in a body. Thus, to save the body, the damaging organ must be replaced or a healthy organ must be transplanted.

(viii) Taking health science as a paradigm, I would then suggest, let Free Market as the body, and Welfare Economy as a transplanted new organ so that the body ie the Free Economy not only would survive well, but most important the whole body sustenance will be for ever. Thus, I suggest, on top of the Free Market Compensation, the whole of the Kg. Baru community must be given, a free conditional equity in the profits gain of the whole development. But again these profits gain, must be both short and long term gain. It must not be one off.

(ix) For such purpose, I would say, the Malays should have no problem since over the years our Tun Razak, Tun Husein Onn, and Tun Mahathir (sorry I must also mention about Tun Abdullah, but let me say it in bracket)had created established Organization such as Tabung Haji, Permodalan Nasional Berhad, Sime Darby, FELDA, EPF, Pension Fund, Dana Harta, Khazanah, etc. These Organization not only should be able to form a conglomerate to develop and they must also hold the properties in this Kg. Baru for a long stream return especially for the current landowners there. The MayBank, CIMB, BI, name it, whatever Malaysian financial system, they should pool their resources to develop and thus to sustain the ownership of the Malays in the area.

(x) To me, both Mahathir and Najib dreams to make Malaysia an International Islamic Finance House could be easily realize in this Kg. Baru. Kg. Baru should be developed into the International Islamic Financial Center. It can house immerse Islamic Business Houses, and let emulate the development of Madinah by Muhammad in such undertaking. I believe, with such a vision and determination, not only Kg. Baru will be forever Malay, but it is a Global Malay and a global pacemaker.

(4) The redevopment planning of Kg. Baru must not be left to the professional planners only. The all walk of lives of the Malays must be involved. The people of Kg. baru must never be too stingy to think and feel, Kg. Baru is for Kg. Baru, it must be seen in a broader Malays interest. The redevelopment must really having the characteristic of the true and holistic identities of the Malays. With such, the spillover effect definitely would cross the mixed racial gains. It must be a Pride of the Nation just like Forbidden City of China or the Grand Pyramid of Egypt.

(5) Last, but not least, let me put this Love Bite for Najib, Muhhydin, Rais, Mustapha, and Shafie Afdal (which to me a great blend of Malays: Bugis-Javanese-Minang-Pattani-Sulu), Kg Baru is not only about those resident in Kg. Baru, it is a National Malay Pride and Heritage. So don't loose our ground. I'm thinking other things elsewhere as well.

5/5/11 ADAM WAS CREATED IN A KNOWLEDGE CITY

5/5/11 ADAM WAS CREATED IN A KNOWLEDGE CITY

How does heaven look like? Where is that heaven, here on earth, or hanging somewhere? Why did the Zabur, Taurah, Bible and Al-Quran said, Adam, the first human being was created from earth? What is the concept of earth then? Does it mean soil? Or does it mean clay? Or does it merely mean solid substance as compared to wind (angel) and fire (satan)?

(2) I wonder, why then Adam was created in heaven? A place described with every necessities, name it, everything are there. Today, I woke up very early. Since I don't want to go back to sleep, thus I picked up a book to read. The reading takes me back to Montreal, Canada, a place I visited in July 2007. Since it was summer, the night was bright, where, in fact I took a stroll of the City on foot at 4am, while all my other freinds were snoring deep. I was immersed with the City-scapes. All the fabrics seem well connected. Intensive thinking and designing might long ago had taken place.

(3) I wonder, not long time ago, 40,000 years ago, Adam probably was created in a City. A City, a perfect City called Heaven. It was (may be is) a Heavenly City, which Allah described conceptually, as a Garden, a place of Peace, Hormony, in Perfect Order, Complete. Was the Hanging Garden of Babylon and Al-Hamra of Cardova, not the manifestation of the Heaven by the human mind. The same is now signified by the 'peopleless' mural in the Bukhara Mosque? I believe, the Muslim of the past, ie 600-800 years ago, had been working hard to study and practice Islam to it true course that made them ahieved such a glory.

(4) When Adam was to be created, Angel objected to it, because Angel could see, Adam (human) would create imbalance to all those orderness of the Heavenly City, but Allah said, Adam is a creature of knowledge: Adam is to be created with full of knowledge that would make him the leader to all His creations.

(5) Thus, Heaven, is not only a City of Social-Endowmentally Complete, but is a City of Knowledge. Allah, endowed Adam with knowledge to sustain this world, and with such, He ordered and entrusted Adam (human) to be thereon leader of all His creations. Allah message, with knowledge, human being will be a leader and he will master his world. This simple clue, I would believe, probably had not been well though by human being, surely not by the nowaday Muslim, thus, we now merely see Heaven as Allah promised of a hereafter world rather, the world that we must build for the sustenance of human civilization. Thus we only 'pray-hope' for such a life, rather working hard to build such a life!

(6) With such a simple believe, now I'm reaching to my solution of my long searching of a Heavenly City Planning, the Model of Future Human Habitat that we must think and seriously develop. I pray my understanding of Allah's heaven is correct, and I pray my interpretation of Allah's Heaven is actually His Conception of Human Habitat that we must build to sustain our existence in Prosperous and Orderly manner. If we can't achieve that, there is where His next promised will come soonest: Kiamat, a day of destruction for we failed to build what is great for all, we failed as His entrusted leader to manage this world.

(7) Again, as I might have put it earlier, we, the Muslim failed to be the leader because we failed to see, interpret, teach, and practice Islam the way it should be. Our uztazs, our Islamic scholars, and we the Muslim must now rethink, despite our more than 1,400 years of practicing Islam, we still probably remain as the Third Class Ummah of Allah! Why? What went wrong?

(8) City lives is the future of the Human Habitat. Today, in developed countries, the urban population had reached 75 perccent of the poupulation. In Malaysia, almost 50 percent of our population is in the urban area. All this pointing to the fact that, probably within the next 50 years (two generation from today), majority of the world population will inhabitat the cties. Thus, we must be concern over the need to seriously thinking of the Future Organic City, city that could accomodate the growth and welbeing of its citizen.

(9) Back to the Heaven, let now start thinking, is the number of the population of Heaven be limited to certain figure? Did any of His book, did Allah reveal the absolute figure? What does this mean then? Is not Heaven an Organic Place?

(10) This book, titled: Knowledge cities: Approaches, Experiences and Perspective by Francisco Javier Carrillo really inspired me. Few cities in today world have been defined as Knowledge City, namely:Barcelona (Spain), Stockhom (Sweden), Munich (German), Montreal (Canada), Dublin (Ireland) and Deft which actually began to emerge in the 1980s. And these cities, despite numerous global economic crisis, they seem to survive well.

(11) The main characteristics of these Knowledge Cities (KC) are grounded along these five elements:
(a) strong dynamic of innovation accross all sectors of economics and social activities with particular emphasis on the establishment of the correct and focussed R&D and Innovative facilities as well as the promotion of cultural diversities and uniqueness;
(b) better educational services with establishment of better universities, skill development centers, and libraries (eg in Munich, there are about 700 public libraries which are well IT-connected eg Stockhom, fully broadband-connected city);
(c) citizens are actively involved in their city's development especially the private investors;
(d) a more sustainable economy; and
(e) creation of a tolerant environment toward minorities and immmigrants, which basically entail the survival for all.

(12) The basic essence of the so called Knowledge City is the broad opportunities for educational and technological advancement, through wireless connectivity for sustainable growth of innovation thus enabling ever expanding economies.

(13) Based on such approach, probably interesting to see, how the Mecca 2020 Development Plan, could be transformed Mecca into a Holly-Knowledge City for the good of the whole humainkind. Accordingly, our home, our kampung and neighborhood, should also be planned and develop along the same concept of Peaceful-Knowledge Place, emulating the Heaven that Allah conceptually said in His books. The elements of moral and spiritual must also be part and parcel of the social consideration.

14/3/11 MALAYSIAN KINDY UNIVERSITIES

14/3/11 MALAYSIAN KINDY UNIVERSITIES

In 1998, upon my returned from my postgrad study, I was excited to hear the building up of Kota Samarahan into a City University. Within the perimeter of the so called intended University City, the University of Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Univeristy Technology of MARA (UiTM), and as well as the Tun Abdul Razak Teacher College were aggressively being expanded. Nonetheless, in one of the State Cabinet(?) meeting, I was informed that the Chief Minister was not happy with the performace of Kota Samarahan growth. He instructed a review of the City development. It seem to fail to grow into the so called University City. The universities, though had housed about 10,000 students with at least 2,000 employees had not able to impact positively for the expansion of Kota Samarahan township.

(2) Couple of day ago, Tun Mahathir Mohammed pondered the idea for the failure of our universities establisment to create an impact for the local cities growth.

(3) To have an understanding of the issue, let us see how our universities being established: locality choice. Let begin with the oldest, ie University of Malaya (MU) in Lembah Pantai. The choice of site was in Lembah Pantai. It is in the Lembah (Valley) but no Pantai (beach). Topographically, there is a clear limitation growth be it for the university or even a township. MU growth could only be facilitated within the limited 'valley'. But, comparatively, let look at how did Michigan Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard, Cambridge, Berlin, Otago, etc beinmg established. In general those univeristies take advantage of their natural surrounding ie rivers, lake, sea front, large scenic plain, etc.

(4) In the case of MU, there is no chance for an emergence of a City within the MU pheriphery. The campus is surrounded by steep hills and to my observation is most suitable for residential development. A township can't grow out of such topography. Only the Aztec or Nepalist built cities on mountain ridges. Though the temporary campus of National University (UKM), Lembah Pantai Teacher College and Institute Bahasa (IB) were just at the outskirt of MU campus, all those doesn't gave a city development impact. Petaling Jaya township, the nearest city, was developmed and expand not within the MU vacinity but a distance away. Why?

(5) Now let move to Serdang Agriculture University (UPM). It was earlier on, planted far deep in nowhere. Same goes with the National University (UKM) in Bangi, Science University of Penang (USM), University of Technology (UTM) Skudai Johor. All were planted in isolated area, bounded by hilly terrain and conservation forest.

(6) University Malaysia Sabah, was posted, though on scenic location, but sited right on top of the hill in the outer Kota Kinabalu, with the Highway, South China Sea and the Mangrove area as the natural boundaries. Same goes with University Malaysia Sarawak, planted right in the middle of the peat and mangrove areas.

(7) Judging from the site selection basis, it seem always in the mind of universities developer that Malaysian Public Universities must have exclusive environment. This exclusivity location, probably was influenced by the so called students movement of the sixties especially in Indonesia, Thailand, and Philipines where, the students seem to have all the advantage to topple the Government if they are aggregated within a city. This was particularly so, in the case of MU and UKM in the 1970s. These two universities must not sit side-by-side, a political sucidal.

(8) But now as our economy becoming resource scare, and moving away from production to service oriented, we began to question why is that our universities are not able to generate the so called service oriented economies. Our universities do not give birth to city development.

(9) This is very much different if one looks at the impact of universities, say in America. I remember Cyenne in Wyoming, the State University there really influences the development of the city. Same goes to University of Boulder in Boulder Colorado, Golden School of Mine in Golden, and University of Colorado at Fort Collin. Of course Dr. Mahathir mentioned such other universities as Oxford, Havard, Cornell, Cambridge, etc. If one care to look at the birth of universities in German, the impact of the universities establishment on the cities growth is wonderfull.

(10) My simple analysis of UNIMAS, UiTM Samarahan and Tun Razak College existence; we seem to continue to treat our universities grad as kids. These 'kids' must remain protected, and fenced against whatever elements that we 'believe' could harm them. Today parents, seem not to trust their 'kids', as compared to long ago parents, whom seem 'didn't care' about their kids. Therefore, within the campus, we provide everything that the students need; from hostels, cafes, laundries, convinient stores, bookstores, statinaries outlets, clinic, and all sort. Private participation to provide these facilities are denied or minimised. We in fact are building 'Jail Structured Universities'.

(11) Even worst, all the facilities within the universities despite being funded by the public are exclusively only to serve the students. The library, the playground, and many others are built and only main for the students. The universities are fenced up. Strong and strict guards are placed at the entrance.

(12) The consequences, not only the universities are not able to spur the local properties and service sectors development, thus denying the development of local University City, but the Malaysian Public Universities to me are just an Adulthood Kindy. A Kindy Campus. May fro such iinspiration, thus Rosmah Mansor established the first Permata School right in the UKM Campus, to reaffirm my notion that our universities are just another Kindy, to 'keep' our kids 'to grow' not to matured!

(13) While we are worried about the social-IQ judgmenet of our students, say if we practiced 'open universities development concept', now, due to our 'over protection' of our universities students, we are producing massive of socially not ready graduates. Their social-IQ, not only not improving, but, not maturing as well.

(14) Back to Kota Samarahan issue, somewhere around May 1999, I prepared a briefing notes to the Chief Minister which among others criticed the Kota Samarahan Urban Plan, whereby elements of Push and Pull Urban Growth factors were not being properly considered. The City Plan constituted of numerous Urban Fabrics that seem each and every development were and to be done in isolation of the others. A development without a Network; Connectivity!

(15) Education Centers were built in isolation of the Population Center, Employment Center, Business Center, and Recreational Centers. Connectivity to these centers were not well concieved. All were because, Education Centers development were Federal Government matters, while the others were State matters. To me, there is a serious Federalism Conceptual missunderstanding. Today if ones travels to Kota Samarahan, one could easily sees how all the public institutions are built as not 'public properties', but as 'fortress entities', that again doesn't contribute to business friendly environment to the local.

(16) I wonder, the lecturers especially those who are dealing with Development Studies had been shuting their eyes, and closing their heart, or even worst, dumb their mind, despite these Planning weaknesses are right on their footstep! I wonder why, I wonder how? Probably: Gajah terkangkang depan mata tak nampak, kuman sembunyi di seberang pagar gagah didongkeli!

(17) Today and yesterday, I was lucky to make my view clear with regard to the Planning of Darul Hana, Kuching and Kg. Dato, Sibu, among the city planners. I ponder the idea of providing 'Universities or Colleges Facilities' within the neighborhhood, but keeping those facilities to basic ie confining to lectures classroom, laboratories, halls, and administrative facilities, while other faclilities should be left for the neighborhood to take up. The Universities or Colleges Campus must be made public; not fenced up. The universities and or colleges must co-exist with the neighborhood. I hope, and I pray, the dream could be realised.

9/10/10 A 5 BILLIONS MONUMENT

9/10/10 A 5 BILLIONS MONUMENT

(Interesting to note the shrude Malays habit, once a group of them wanted to do something different for the good deed of their community, definitely they will be confronted by totally opposite opinion. The issue is, is this opinion being honestly voiced out or is it merely because the idea was not from them. I belief, this has something to do with what Muhammad s.a.w had said, there is a lump of flesh in one chest, and that flesh determines one's deed! Probably the Malays love just to remain small and continue to be a pariah within Allah blessed land! May Allah blast us, if so, rather being a pariah believer of the great Islam!)

The current UMNO AGM I would say is a turning point for Najib to have a grip of UMNO and the National Front (BN). Based on the tree UMNO party main wings AGM: Wanita, Pemuda, Putri; the 'initial sounding' of the excos' and delegates' proposition seem very promising: brave, clear and 'honest'. I'm using the connotation: 'Initial Sounding and Honest' to cast my doubt over the matter as they may sound to be. As those delivering the speeches, if one really follow their lips and mouths movement, clearer if we observe their overall body language, I would say, millions of interpretation could be gauged. May be if one keep the tapes on the various American and Western Analysist of the Post American Presidential debates, one would understand what I mean.

(2) Nontetehelss, firstly, I do pray, and really hope (and we should work for it) that those occupying whatever position in the UMNO must really make themselve clean dan honest in their course to serve and build the nation. (In fact today I was shocked and feel dam sad to know how a Malay government servant had demanded a 10% kick back from a project with a total cost of merely RM37,000.00! I pray for him to live a long life to experience the great effect of his corrupted deed!)

(3) Secondly, I'm happy in deed, though I was provoked by a friend when I was having my Nasi Dagang by the road side at Bukit Bintang area this morning that Najib made an announcement of building the 100 levels Heritage Tower. My friend belief that this is not the wise and best way to spend the fund. My friend argument was that RM5.00 billion would be much better to be spent for other type of development so that greater people would benefit from such an investment. Just imagine, RM50,000,000.00 will be spent to build just a level. 100 levels, equal to RM5,000,000,000.00. Probably we can build 3-5 four lanes Highway serving Miri to Kuching! More people are making an issue out of this proposal.

(4) To me, being wise is one thing. But being brave and futuristic is another thing. Say if Mahathir never built that DayaBumi Complex next to the National Mosque, would he then be wise and daring enough to start thinking and building all those Super Highways, the Penang Bridge, and Tanjung Pelepas Port. Same goes to KLIA Sepang, later Sepang F1 Track, followed by the KLCC Twin Tower. All those in fact, were not only as growth stimulant initiatives, but most important, to build the high confidence among the nation to stand tall in the eyes of the world.

(5) Tun Razak had built the foundation for DMM to take the country to the present pride. Tun Razak had established and really engineered institutions such as MARA, FELDA, RISDA, FELCRA, UDA, SEDC, PETRONAS, Bank Bumiputera, etc as the instruments to rectify the socio-economic weaknesses of the natives. Through the expension of what Tun Razak had initiated earlier, Tun Husein Onn and Tun Mahathir had created the much corporate-cultured GLCs to move the native (as well as the whole nation)economic welbeing into a greater height. Thus, PNB, Sime Darby, Tabung Haji, Khazanah, etc now which are all under the good controled of the natives should have enough experiences, talents and courage to go into the much brave investments.

(6) The land, suggested for the Heritage Tower (Menara Warisan) is a real prime land. Such land, at such location, will never be available for the second time in the future. Thus, why must such a location be developed along the old model, and why we the native (Malays) feel skeptical about building something real big, real brave, real symbolic to push our native spirit into a greater economic and commercial undertaking. I don't see why the native, especially the Malays whom now should have acquired enough business and management experiences from the long association with the other races must remain selling Nasi Dagang by the road side. We can't be just Ali-Baba (lazy easy sleeping partners) forever! We must now be a real genuine enterpreneurs ourselves!

(7) Let us keep our objective clear. And if there are doubt, then the doubt I would say, how is to make this Project clean of corruption and fund missmanagement. We must never allow the incident of Sime Darby losing billions be repeated. They may claimed those are private money, but still, in God sake, those monies were deposits of the millions of investors be the have and have not!

(8) Let me rephrase the above notion from the following angle. 1400 years ago, Muhammad SAW managed to overtook Mecca from the infidel Quraish. These Quraish, for thousands of years, after the death of Ismail, the son of Abraham, whom had rebuilt the Kaabah which magnetised the making of Mecca as the center of the monotheism, then turned Kabbah into the center of polythesism, which is strictly against the true purpose of the creation of Kaabah. From such day of his takeover, he had accomplished his mission to return Kaabah into its original when it was firts built by the angels, then Adam!

(9) The Quraish, being a very stuborn community, defied Muhammad SAW, from establishing a real Islamic Adeen (nation) in Mecca. He was forced out of Mecca. He had to take refuged at Yatsrib. Yatsrib, where the people were very much friendly to Muhammad, accepted him as the leader and thus assisted him to build the first Muslim City-State there, and thus changed the name of Yatsrib to Medina: the City of the Prophet. In Islam, this refuged is termed Hijrah: literally translated as embrassing new way for the better!

(10) Thus I would say, building this 100 storeys Menara Warisan, I hope, and it must be seen in the spirit of Hijrah, a change of mindset among the Malays in particular from continue to adopt Arcade MARA type of business development into a real modern-hypermarket system. It is time for Pasar Khadijah, Pasar Zainab, Medan MARA, gerai-gerai SEDC all over the places to be relook into a much currently demanded business infrstructure requirement. I would also hope, this development would trigger a better inspiration for us to build Kampung Baru Kuala Lumpur and even Darul Hana in Kuching into a well respected Muslim-Malays Community enclaves of the future to be the model of the true Islamic Commercial-economic development.

(11) Whether we realised or not, the whole Muslim world is looking at Malaysia as the role model in developing a true-just economic system for the good deed of all the human kind. Can't we think and move ourselve to be the new economic leaders rather quarelling over petty matters. Come on the Malays, can't we not be enough being a laughing stock to all the other races all these while!

6/7/09 KAABAH....

First the Angel, then Adam, and later Abraham were the persons entrusted by Allah to build this Kaabah (which given rise to the existence and expansion of Mecca) as a place to guide, I presume, human focus in their search for their trueselves especially wrt to their Purpose of Existence. I have met so many people who had been and want to go to Mecca, all of them were only able to describe Mecca as a place with no word could explain, the beauty and the feeling great when one is there. Ya....all said, it is a Holy Soul Searching and Submission Place. It is too sacred to be explained in a simple human vocab. Of course, some said, I just feel want to go!

(2) Couple of days back, I met a young lady, whom seem so immerse to pay a visit to Mecca. I asked her of her foundamental reason to be there? Her answer was simple, I just got a feel of wanting to be there. It is just sort of a falling in love feeling, probably deeper. And she can't explain further details. Probably this is what the Malay called: Dah sampai seruan! I wish her and love to see her make her trip there soonest.

(3) I don't want to talk of Mecca as the Human Holy Place, but I believe now, I could figure out, one day I will make it there, among the key reasons, to study why He had created Mecca to such an extend, that it is being classified and must be sustained as Tanah Haram. A place of Protection and Peace for all. Physically and spiritually no harm in what ever form could be inflicted when one is within the compound of Masjidil Haram. Accordingly, whether of good or bad deed, a multiplier of 100,000 (pahala or dosa) will be granted to the doer.

(4) I believe, with the Zam-Zam spring, clusters of Green Oasis, beautiful (sun rise and dawn time I presume) Mountain enclaves, and surely the water hunger desert, and the strict order that Mecca must be Tanah Haram, there must be a great sociological meaning to all these. Surely, I would also believe, the best human habitat should be Mecca. Surely so, since Mecca is the Centre of Islamic faith, the closest statue reflecting the true existence (and a place on earth where we could be closest) of (to) Him. He had protected, redeveloped, and even clean up Mecca to signify such course. Thus, apart of its Holiness, it serenity have given a true Sense of Place, for feeling great to be in peace, harmony, united, and foremost as ONE HUMANE.

(5) I believe, all these must be what Ibnu Masoud (ra) meant by saying: Jangan mampir di tempat yang tiada pemerintah, pasar yang aktif, dan air bersih yang mengalir (Do not stop in a place that does not have a sultan, an active market place and clean running water).

(6) Lately, the National Geographic Channel(?) did made a documentary of the Musoleum of Hassan/Hussein (?) in Iran, where the wall of the mosque is decorated with painting of a Garden full of trees, flowers, rivers, and all sort of park fabrics, but with no sign of human figure, which sort of reflecting, probably, how Eden look like.

(6) I wonder, as well as I believe, He is sending a message through the creation of Kaabah, and those simple discription of the Eden in the Quran, how human habitat should be developed so much so it would give human the true Sense of Place and full Sence of Existence. When a habitat could create such a feel (environ), then, there must be a great feeling of purpose and strong sense of oneself onto the person (as a person and as a community). With such the urge for Total Submission could be well nutured and one would be able to see things from what He had ordered...whatever is there on this earth are His Amanah for us to manage for all! I think so, and I believe so!

(7) I wonder, how much researchers especially Islamic Scholars had try to see Mecca from such human habitat development purpose apart from purely spiritual perspective.

(8) It is rather unfortunate, when we study the Quran, we focus to the theology aspect of the subject rather balancing with the TOTAL PURPOSE of the Quran! Equally of a great mistake that we had made, when we translate all those old testimonies from the older Islamic Scholars, we again dedicated our focus on the spiritual aspect of the writing.

(9) I'm wondering, why Islamic and even Churhes were built with every aspect of serenity, though that may seem to be a tradition, but I strongly believe, the tradition must have been designed with clear purpose. Just probably, we have closed our eyes on some aspect of all these messages, that we have lost track of the hidden meaning of those beautiful and serene layouts and designs!

(10) Kaabah, Masjidil Haram, Mecca, what actually is your secret? Let me be with you, one day, to submit MyPlan of MyTruePurpose for the Humankind (or any oters), God let me think and work on it first! I'll talk with You then, there in Baitul Haram!

19/4/09 KAMPUNG MELAYU.....lambang kecelaruan masa depan kita

19/4/09 KAMPUNG MELAYU.....lambang kecelaruan masa depan kita

Do not stop in a place that does not have a sultan, an active market place and clean running water).

(2) Pernah suatu pagi, saya membuka radio kereta sedang saya memandu ke Pejabat, dan agak tersentap bila mendengar seorang Menteri Kanan Sarawak berkata, Kampung kitak (kamu) urang Melayu tok (ini), macam taik manok (najis ayam), bertabur sia, bertabor sitok (bertaburan), sik tentu pasal (tak tentu arah),.....ini saya kira 3-4 tahun yang lampau. Kini saya ingin membawa sdra/i melihat bagaimana agaknya susunatur perkampungan-perkampungan Melayu di Sarawak seperti Bintawa, Kudei Kubur (Gita), Buntal, Bako, Sampadi, Kg.Melayu, Nonok Laut/Tengah/Ulu, Sebandi, Semera, Jemukan, Pendam, Meludam, Beladin, Tambak, Pusa, Kabong, Tekajong, Bruit, Daro, Jemoreng, Sg. Ud, Telian, Balingian, Kuala Tatau, Kuala Segan, Kg Masjid, Kuala Lawas, Punang, dsb.

Tidak mungkin saya dapat mengumpul data bagi menyokong hujah-hujah saya berikutnya.(ButI know there are studies on these, except access is very Sdn Bhd!)

Kasihan saya tengok dia olang. Mudak-mudak, pigi sekolah kuat jauh jalan kaki.

(9) Orang Melayu, berkata jika guru kencing berdiri, murid pasti kencing berlari.

Kita sudah terlalu banyak sangat berseminar, kursus, mesyuarat, we, to some extend, work less, talk too much!

Gut man, must have gut!

I wish I should have done more", what a hack man, just do when you have all the time (position)to do. Just take your gut, and do what is right (surely the right way)!

ORIGIN OF SARAWAK....breeding ground of future social ills

Normally on Saturday/Sunday, either I went back to MyVillage and be at peace with the rural easy life or stay at home browsing MyBooks or papers while on full blast musics as the backdrop...but today, 22 March, 2009 I took MyCanon to a walk along these human habitats....from Sumatera, to Java then down in Kuching....in about two hours....let walk your hearts and minds with me

(2) My walk began at (Kg) Boyan (Kalimantan) the upper (ulu) edge of the whole settlement series, packed with kampong semi-wooden style homes……probably the oldest settlement,….…followed by Gersik, Soerabaya (Java), Panglima Seman, Semarang (back to Java)…all these villages symbolized the origin of the first settlers…immigrants from across the border (early days Indonesia),…merging with the new Pulo and Bintawa…where the coastal Malays probably just settled due to the great rural-urban drift in the 1970s….

(3) What are considered typical to these villages….are their unorganized housing setting (once in the 1990s I heard a State Minister said, macam taik manok…mengambur...sik tentu pasal)….a friend of mine informed me that in the olden days (1970s)….they used to fight among each other….over simple things or argument…and this is signified by the very ‘indifferent life-style’ portrayed to this day…the way they parked their cars, discharging their garbage, played their ear deafening music, drying their clothes, plank walks….all sort..I couldn’t imagine just across the river there are so many great life-styles to be emulated but here….I believe these villages gonna be a breeding ground for future Kuching all sort of social ills…..should we keep our eyes tight closed on this?

(4) The ‘indifferent life-style’ of these villages I believe is a normal phenomena especially among the immigrants….either in the US and Australia or elsewhere…..initially they preferred to be by themselves and hardly trust each other…or each of them were just too busy wanna established their own territory and or lives…..and probably, during the Brooke time, they were just being left alone….without being guided…that make them drifting further into smaller ‘societies’ that seem to co-exist but never properly unified….they just co-exist for territorial protection rather progressively living as civilized society….

(5) Small winding road, no proper facilities, muddy smelly and inundated compound, poor drainage, probably…worst, their land tenure had not been properly sort out…creating the worst ‘indifferent attitude’ not only in the society but among the family members……the issue might be the cause to all sort of dispute among neighbors (family members) and thus catalyst the ‘social discomfort’ among the society…..

(6) I hate to quote the observations made by Mushi Abdullah during his visit to Trengganu……to describe what I have seen…maka aku jadi heranlah, orang Melayu, tiada terususn akan rumah mereka…..tiadalah mereka terbuat parit, berbau hanyir keliling rumah mereka, sampah merata-rata…tiada mereka itu berakal untuk menjaga kebersihan dan keamanan kampong sendiri…..I’m wondering are these not the symbols of our Malays style of thinking….unorganized, not far sighted, easily giving in, inability to stand on their own feet,….all those negative image and characters…..that make us easily being colonized and exploited?

(7) As I reached Bintawa, the worst among these worst organized settlements…..signs of ‘law and orders non-abiding attitude’ are prominent.

(8) Kids playing along the road….their faces…some seem fierce, some seem indifferent, some..silent…..a reflection of hopelessness!

(9) What do these people need…..let just go to basic probably….proper housing with proper facilities, basic social infrastructure,….chances to do in-situ income earning…and nearby place for entertainment…..are these too difficult to organized….?

(10) Let think hard and work hard…to mend these hopelessness phenomena among these people…they are our brothers and sisters…they are our people…His people….don’t let them become the nuisance to our ‘probably beautiful lives’……Muhammad said: It is a sin for us to enjoy our sleep, while our neighbor are in hunger and misery……where are we..

(11) Let talk, quarrel, crack our head…solidified our soul….these people need guide…they need golden hand touch….to make them real human… let think how to mobilized our 'saving' in EPF, Tabung Haji, Permodalan Nasional, etc....see how we could rebuild these settlements into modern yet keeping our tradition alive....an asset to better urban life-style!

RUSTAM...just stay back and let me alive!

RUSTAM...just stay back and let me alive!

Last week, on the 7 March 2009 I and a nice friend (Izan) went down to Malacca. Due to time constraint, and the congested weekend maulidur rasul, we didn’t got much chance to really getting the trail of Hang Li Po and Hang Tu Ah (probably that how his name should be spelt, Pak Kassim Ahmad, don’t argue with me!). In fact all along this stay I just enjoy quarrelling with her how she was impatience of so many things about the congestion and bad driving attitude of our beloved Malaysian….interestingly, I become the most patience man on earth at that time…while in actual fact, I’m not!

(2) Last nite,14 March 2009, due to my last week dissatisfaction, I came down again with two other nice friends (Mona and Haiza)…..this time I took them to a walk along the Malacca River Cruise Walk…to get to the Boat Cruise Rempah Terminal….. beginning from a nice remodel Baba Mansion, the Majestic, at about 2100 hrs we headed what seem to be as down river….asking anybody we passed, which direction to get to the Crusing Termnal….some pointing to up river, and some pointing to down river…ahhhh! Rustam, mana direction…good big job, but you seem to forget some basic tipping points…making me…hahhhh loosing MyPatience…. ...this time Izan is not with me....I can blow off...

(3) It was drizzling, strong wind….feeling so cool, and surely nice walking along with some nice friends….the Malacca Walk, it really a nice Walk, but still lots to finish off…good walk on the Cenggal Walkway…in between the evergreen mangrove trees….well done Rustam, at least you have THE brain to turn this once clear water river which turned dirty and stinging….into this though still smell bad….a place where I found MyLove…and hopefully with the berkah of Hang Li Po and Hang Tu Ah...it will bloom and burning...MyIzan apa macam!! Those beautiful Malays houses at Kg Mortem (why not called this Village Kg Bendahara Matahir (?) the famous smart and honest Sultan Mahmud PM)….I’m wondering how those dwellers sleeping under those bright lighting….would it not be more lovely …..just light them up ala-traditional way….pelita-like and obor-obor-like light….Rustam, not too modernlah….I want MyLove back….

(4) After about 30 minutes torturing thee two ladies…....walking on high heel shoes, then only we met a real guy who knew the correct direction to the Terminal…ie we have to turn back….never mind, I keep MyPatience high…...enjoying the nice cool nite breeze…colorful lighting…blue, red, green..all sorts…and all those electrocute (?) birds, butterflies, mushroom, fowers….all sorts….Rustam, your heart must be very kindy…green and creative…well done!

(5) Tipping point….this is a tropical State. At anytime, the weather just change…and since Tok Mat Bulat, then this Shabery Cheek (Minister of Information) had kept RTM to declared (ramalan cuaca)….hujan di sana sini…can’t tell precisely where and when to rain…..just wonder why those shelters where erected to far from each other….just imagine, if it rain..I would be running the long way…and get real wet…before I could be sheltered…..let think a bit farther....…for the kids, families with babies, elder people….hahhh your planners….I believe they don’t have people in their heart, their mind and soul….surely, while strolling I won’t like MyGirl to get wet either by rain or sweating under our burning sun,.....or I may lost MyLove….faham-fahamlah…dating di tempat yang menyusahkan sapa nak enjoy…Rustam, just a tipping point!

(6) Well, MyPlan to walk from the Hang Li Po well to the Hang Jee Bat and Hang Kah Tung Lee (Kasturi) resting place…won’t materialize this time…I need to come back again….but for sure Rustam….

(7) I hate your traffic management (that made a point of argument between me and MyIzan…could cause me MyLove), I hate these ignorant drivers...they don't heed to pedestrians...I hate for not being properly directed…., I hate to run to a distance shelter…I don’t want MyCamera to get wet…never mind of MyGirl(s)….they surely enjoy to get wet in this tropical shower….your kindy brain…excellent but not all over the place…making things too superficial….

(8) Your beca men...they are great attraction to the tourists....but please make sure they smell good, make them look smart, clean...and most important...deathly honest....provide them a proper bathing place....

(10) That Kg Mortem…anywhere you could make me have access much easier and manageable….yeehh think of I’m in the 60s or beyond…lutut sudah lemahlah Rustam….those nice Joget Lambak....make me wanna dance, but it is far on the other side of the walk...not properly linked....

(11) Well done Rustam, but where are those big biawak that used to fly this river….3-4 years ago? Plant more trees...let kancil bread again here...(but pl don't get CheDet be around...he is worst...his Kancil will flood your road not your jungle!.

(10)Those out of business shophouses, why not turn them into lines of nice shop-townhouses....get Tabung Haji (TH), EPF, PNB to fund the land acquisition and redevelop those areas....it won't goes wrong...100-200 years from now, all those would be great investment areas....

(11) I would believe, no need for you Rustam to bid for UMNO Deputy President....just focus and develop Malacca into a real Tourist State.....let get Malacca back into its 14/15 century glory...then you would be much greater then UMNO DP....

(12) CheDet...tau tak pasai apa Portugis tak berani berperang dengan Kedah...zaman dulu, di Melaka ada 6 ekok pahlawan, termasuklah Hang Li Po...Hang Tu Ah, Hang Jee Bath, Hang Kah Tu Lee, Hang Lee Khiew dan Hang Lee Khir...enam ekok. Masa dok perang dulu...puak Portugis banyak yang mampuih depa enam ekok ni bunuh....aci hang pikiaq CheDet oi...kalau Portugis berberang dengan Kedah...di Kedah Hang dok merata cerok...banyak sangat..semua hang...bukan setakat 6 ekok...dok merata negeri ada hang...sampai tak terhitung...sana hang...sini hang...mampuih habis Portugis kalau dok perang dengan Kedah....hebat Kedah CheDet no...sebab tu Hang lani pun dok suka berperang juga....hang sorang-sorang! Tak apa CheDet...baguih...boleh depa kurang tidoq sikit...
